Terms of service

Last updated: June 1, 2026

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Sorin is a safe, educational AI companion for children, operated by WhitegloveAI LLC ("WhitegloveAI," "we," "us," or "our"), a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Texas, USA, with a principal place of business at [Address]. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sorin website, applications, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who may use the Service

The Service is intended for use by parents and legal guardians ("parents," "you") who are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to consent on behalf of a child. Children do not create their own accounts. A parent creates and controls the account, sets up each child's profile, and is responsible for supervising the child's use of the Service. You are responsible for all activity under your account and any child profile you create. By adding a child to your account, you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or that you have obtained the consent of the child's parent or legal guardian.

3. What the Service does

Sorin provides an AI companion that children can interact with through chat and related learning tools, along with parent-facing controls, settings, and activity summaries. Features may change over time. We may add, modify, or remove features at our discretion.

4. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate information when you create your account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for any use of your account. Children may sign in to their profiles using a login link, QR code, or PIN that you generate and control. Notify us promptly at sorin@whitegloveai.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

5. Parental responsibility and consent

You are responsible for deciding whether the Service is appropriate for your child and for supervising your child's use. You control each child's settings, including topics, tone, time limits, and access. You may pause or disable a child's access at any time. By using the Service with a child, you consent to our collection and use of your child's information as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to, and not to allow any child or other person to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • attempt to bypass safety controls, content filters, or access restrictions;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code or training data from the Service;
  • upload or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes the rights of others;
  • use the Service to develop a competing product, or resell or redistribute the Service;
  • interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

7. AI-generated content

Sorin uses artificial intelligence to generate responses, learning materials, and other content. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected, and should not be relied upon as professional, medical, legal, educational, or other expert advice. Sorin is a learning companion, not a substitute for parental judgment, professional instruction, or qualified care. You are responsible for reviewing your child's use and for any decisions made based on content from the Service.

8. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

Some features require a paid subscription. Pricing and plan details shown during any preview period are indicative and subject to change until confirmed. When paid plans are available, fees, billing intervals, and any free tier will be presented at sign-up. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, [Stripe]; we do not store full payment card details. Unless required by law or stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable. You may cancel at any time through your account; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content we provide, is owned by WhitegloveAI or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial family use, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works except as expressly permitted.

10. Your content

You and your child may submit content to the Service, such as messages, prompts, and profile details ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and use User Content as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service, consistent with our Privacy Policy. We handle children's information as described in the Privacy Policy and do not sell it or use it for behavioral advertising.

11. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including hosting, payment processing, and AI model providers. Your use of the Service may be subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or appropriate in every case.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WhitegloveAI and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim or [USD 100]. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WhitegloveAI and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by email. Your continued use after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in [County], Texas for any dispute not subject to [arbitration / other agreed process], except where prohibited by law.
